近日,Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition(Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition)The World finals are over。School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology"United for Sustainability" undergraduate teamFrom a wide range of undergraduate and graduate teams,Global Gold Award (# 1)。

The Global Sustainable Supply Chain Student Competition is supported by the United Nations Group of Friends for Sustainable Transport,It is a Global competition organized by the Global Supply Chain Classroom and the Center for International Transport Diplomacy,It aims to propose innovative solutions to sustainability related issues and real-world challenges facing global supply chains。

The first competition was launched in September 2023, lasting three months, across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, Africa and other regions, attracting the Beijing Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Wisconsin, Moscow State University and other well-known universities at home and abroad to participate。It has been rigorously reviewed by experts from the World Bank, Maersk Line, the International Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the International Centre for Transport Diplomacy (ICTD) and others,The undergraduate Team "United for Sustainability", directed by Professor Zhang Xiang and Professor Li Guo from the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, won the Best Sustainable Solution Team-Gold Award as an independent team.。

The "United for Sustainability" team consists of 4 undergraduates from different grades and professional backgrounds。During the preparation period, under the careful guidance of Professor Zhang Xiang and Professor Li Guo, the team conducted several rounds of discussion, data review, data collection, case analysis, and continuous learning of operation management and supply chain knowledge, and finally formed an innovative comprehensive solution。In the three rounds of competition, the team repeatedly modified, compared, considered, and modified the plan...More than 30 versions of the text and nearly 40 versions of the presentation were produced。Team members united together, overcome difficulties, hard work upward, teachers timely guidance, channeled pressure, in the teachers and students support each other, continuous efforts to improve, and finally won the global crown。

After this competition,The organizing committee of the competition selects outstanding student representatives to form a "Global Youth Sustainable Supply Chain Advocacy" delegation,Docking with the relevant agencies of the United Nations and the headquarters of the International Freight Forwarder Association,As a student ambassador,Promoting sustainable supply chains and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),Huang Yuwei from our school was selected as the student ambassador。
